Monster Hunter Spin-Off

"A new Monster Hunter is coming for PSP. But before you start wondering how many millions it will sell, you need to know that this won't be a main entry in the series, but rather a spin-off that's more akin to the Animal Crossing series than the usual Monster Hunter gameplay.

The game was originally announced two months ago in a fan event, but only now we get some real info about it. According to producer Tatsuya Kitabayashi, "The idea of the game is that you're a Felyne and you're trying to get as many Felynes as possible into your village. As the population goes up, the village grows and you'll have more stuff to do. It's a spin-off of Monster Hunter, in that it doesn't have that hunt-or-be-hunted tension; it's something you can be a lot looser with playing."
